Hello, I am inquiring about the start date for the July 2011 academy. I am also inquiring about how long after cadets are in the academy do they receive pay?

The start date for the July 2011 academy is tentatively set for July 4. You only receive pay in the academy if you are hired before or during the academy (in other words, not putting yourself through the academy). If you are hired, you receive bi-weekly pay while in the academy according to our pay periods, just like any City employee.
