Police Need Community’s Help Identifying Robbers

The Sacramento Police Department is seeking the community’s assistance in identifying the suspects involved in several robberies in the parking lots of the apartment complexes along Mack Rd between Center Parkway and Tangerine Avenue.

Four robberies were reported between October 17, 2006 and October 18, 2006. In each instance, the suspects were described as a group of 4-6 male blacks, between the ages of 15 and 21 years old, wearing black hooded sweatshirts. A handgun was used in two of the robberies.

Investigators are concerned because the suspects appeared to be targeting victims that do not speak English. Most commonly, they are targeting Hispanics.

If you see something that looks supicious:

1) Pay attention to people and vehicles that you do not recognize.

2) Get descriptions and license plate numbers from suspicious vehicles whenever possible.

3) Report any suspicious activity to the police department immediately.

4) Call 911 if it appears to be a crime in progress.
